  11. I've heard that the memory requirements for Borland's C++ and Turbo C++
  12. products are not really as strict as the boxes say.  Can anyone tell me if
  13. this is true?

  15. The reason I ask is that I'm a student taking a class in C++ and we will
  16. shortly be doing windows programming.  I don't want to have to go to the
  17. labs every time I want to do homework, so I'm about to purchase TC++ 4.5,
  18. BC++ 4.5 or BC++ 5.0, I don't know which yet.  My machine is a 486DX2/50
  19. with 4 megs ram, running Win95.  I don't want to shell out lots of $ for
  20. memory if I dont absolutely have to.  Will any of these products run with 4
  21. megs?  With 8?  I don't need to compile very large programs, just typical
  22. student stuff.
